The Chronicles of the Immortal God - Chapter 47
Chapter 47: Despicable
Aside from the intense pain that he was feeling in his stomach now, Fang Lin was also feeling another thing. Confusion.
‘Why master, why?” Fang Lin thought to himself as he rolled around the floor. “Do you really have to do this to me? Did I make you angry earlier?”
While he was still in the floor, he suddenly felt the urge to let out a ‘big one’. Fang Lin paled, knowing that his reputation will be finished if he lets it out here. He then shouted to the bemused Chu Yang.
“Hey! Can I just go out of this match and go to the bathroom? I really need it please!”
But Chu Yang just replied “You can only get out of the arena once the match is finished. I will not allow anyone to get out unless the match is finished.”
“Ahhhh!!!” Fang Lin shouted in frustration. Then if he needs the match to be finished, then he will finish this match as soon as possible!
Flamemaster, upon seeing Fang Lin in severe pain, immediately rushed towards him, together with his teammates. Tang Ya and Venomshade panicked and tried to help Fang Lin. But Flamemaster’s team reached Fang Lin first.
But upon their arrival, Fang Lin let out another agonized shout.
Suddenly, both of his arms tripled in size, and it looked like it has been hardened beyond recognition. Fang Lin let out one punch to Flamemaster, who immediately made his body coated in fire armor.
The armor that Flamemaster made crumpled like paper in front of Fang Lin’s punch that was strengthened by the Mountain-Bashing Boar Essence. Upon breaking the armor, Fang Lin’s fist landed on Flamemaster’s abdomen.
The punch immediately injured most of Flamemaster’s organs. He spat blood out of his mouth as he was unceremoniously blasted away by the punch out of the stage. Fang Lin then let loose two more punches.
This time, it was Flamemaster’s teammates who were injured and was blasted away.
The audience was stunned by Fang Lin’s quick but powerful attacks. All the other groups that are watching at that time looked vigilantly towards Fang Lin, knowing that he is a dangerous foe. Tang Luo looked at Fang Lin as if his interest was piqued by Fang Lin’s powerful body.
After disposing his opponents, Fang Lin stood in the middle of the arena, while trembling and clutching his stomach.
“Is the match finished now?” Fang Lin asked impatiently.
“Ah er… yes. Then I therefore announce that the winner of the first group battle is the Third Ranked Fatty Lin’s Group!”
After Chu Yang uttered the word ‘Group’, Fang Lin rushed out of the stage, going to the nearest bathroom. The audience just had cramped smiles upon seeing this.
Chu Yang let out a light cough to dispel the awkward atmosphere. “The next match will be half an hour from now. Some of our disciples will fix some damages done to the stage and attend to the needs of the injured.”
The crowd then descended into conversation about what happened in the match.
Wang Hao was actually surprised that Fang Lin could make it.
“That disciple of mine… I’ll talk to him later.” Wang Hao was about to follow Fang Lin’s trail when he heard a divine sense message on his head.
“Hey Wang Hao.”
“Oh its Miss Xiao Ya, what do you want from me?”
“You know, out of all the people I met, you are one of the most despicable!”
“What do you mean eh?” Xiao Ya then proceeded to shout inside Wang Hao’s mind. “You just willingly sabotaged with your disciple earlier! Do you know how wrong is that?”
“But its for his safety!”
“Safety? No, I think its because you are a selfish bastard! You do not want Fang Lin to be under anyone else. That is why you do not want him to shine here. You treat him as if he was your possession!”
“Then how about you, Xiao Ya? Didn’t you just offer Fang Yu as a reward for this battle stage? How is that any different than mine?”
“How is it different? I did that because I knew that with Fang Lin’s talent, he can easily win the competition. But you? You deliberately wanted to suppress him!
“What choice do I have? Even if he gets apprenticed to an Elder, what benefit will he get from it? I am clearly a good teacher!”
“What benefit? Look around you! Have you even tried to investigate about Fang Lin’s background? I bet you did not, as you are busy playing Armor Man in the Spirit Zoo! Do you know that someone from his former family is out looking for him right now? Even I do not know the reason why they are looking for him. But if you just tried to learn more about your disciple, you could have supported him! If he gets apprenticed here, the sect can fully protect him!”
“I can protect him by myself!”
“By yourself?” Xiao Ya let out an emotionless snicker. “Fang Yu told me all about you. On how you were unparalleled under the Tenth Stage. That may be the truth in the past. But guess what? You are weak now! No matter what you can do now, that is not enough to protect Fang Lin! Wake up! We are not playing games here! Its your disciple’s life at stake!”
“Heh, your life in the past must have granted you the privilege to do whatever you want. But look at yourself now. You have no status and no power. If you treat your life now as if everything you want will just come to you, just because you are special, your disciple will pay for that.”
“You know, Fang Lin can be considered to be my disciple too. Thus it can be also up to me to keep him safe. From what I see, you will just bring your disciple into more danger. I suggest that you keep yourself away from Fang Lin first. Try to ruminate on mistakes, Wang Hao.”
Xiao Ya then continued with a pleading voice
“Please, Wang Hao, try to change. Stop being immature and childish. You are just going to hurt a lot of people once you continue to be like this.”
But Wang Hao just cheekily replied “Separate Fang Lin from me? Do you think he will agree?”
“Why don’t you ask him yourself?”
Wang Hao then saw Fang Lin walking towards him. Wang Hao approached Fang Lin and tried to hug him.
“How do you feel, Fa-”
Fang Lin slapped Wang Hao’s arms away, as if he did not want Wang Hao’s presence. He then gave Wang Hao a look that Wang Hao could never forget.
It was the look of distrust.
Fang Lin then walked past Wang Hao, who knelt down in despair.
“What do I do now?”
